The BV200 is the leading plasma viscometer available in the UK and Ireland, with over 60 systems in hospitals using this Benson Viscometer to screen and monitor patients. It is especially useful in diagnosing conditions such as those caused by Myeloma, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Macroglobulinaemia, and Polymyalgia Rheumatica.

With the Benson BV200 there is no need to take additional blood samples; the plasma viscosity measurement can be performed on the same blood collection tubes used for full blood count, since it needs only 50 micro-litres of plasma. BV200 Viscometer

The BV200 automated multi-sampling plasma viscometer calculates the PV of samples within 30 seconds of the tube being detected by the system. It displays the PV on the local PC, and automatically makes the information available to the hospital computer system collecting programs.

For the busy laboratory, this load-and-walk-away system saves time and eliminates many manual errors. The automated bar code facility, 'through the cap' sample aspiration, and computerised results transmission removes the dependency on senior laboratory personnel.

The BV200 is the UK’s system of choice for plasma viscometry screening of all inflammatory conditions.
