Oxford John Radcliffe Hospital – BV1 Clinical Viscometer Installation

Benson Viscometers Ltd. would like to announce another successful installation of a BV1 Clinical Viscometer at the Oxford John Radcliffe Hospital.

This was fully installed with acceptance testing as well as completing the operator and maintenance training. We also provide a comprehensive range of viscometer spares, components and tool kits as well as hardware and software support.

The John Radcliffe Hospital (JR) is Oxfordshire’s main accident and emergency site. The JR provides acute medical and surgical services including trauma, intensive care and cardiothoracic services. It is situated in Headington, about three miles east of Oxford city centre. It is the largest of the Trust’s hospitals, covering around 66 acres

The Haematology Laboratories Department works particularly closely with the haematology and haemophilia clinical services, which require a range of additional and specialised tests not usually required in other clinical services. It is also closely linked with the National Blood Service.

The department processes approximately 650,000 Full Blood Count tests and 300,000 coagulation samples per year, and is fully computerised and linked, through the hospital network, to all wards and GP surgeries.

Our Engineer would like to thank the team at Oxford for their professional and courteous manner during his visit.
